Welcome to the workshop of Natalia Nakoniechna. For more than twenty years this is where bags, belts and small leather goods are made by hand, each piece one of a kind and never something off a shelf.

What started as a single handmade wallet has grown into a small manufactory with its own sewing machines, custom leather cutting tools and embossing stamps. Every product that leaves our workshop in Kiel was shaped by a real person, not a factory line.

Handmade from genuine leather, no assembly line

We only use vegetable tanned, full grain leather, never coated faux leather or anything cut from a roll on an assembly line. Cutting, stitching and hardware are all done in our own workshop, with no bought in parts. With a little care every piece lasts for years and develops the warm patina that only real leather gets.

That kind of care takes time. Depending on size and detailing, a single model can mean several days of work. What you get in return is something that ages well instead of falling apart after one season.

The story behind our workshop

It all started in 1988 with a small piece of shoe leather from an Armenian shoemaker's workshop in Kharkiv. That piece became the first handmade wallet, decorated with a pattern drawn into the leather with a heated nail. Friends wanted to buy it right away, and a hobby turned into a craft. More than twenty years and a degree in fashion design later, Natalia Nakoniechna still runs her workshop in Kiel and makes every piece herself.
